Because of what I have learned, I am now able to escape much of the day to day practice and focus on the vision. I’m working *on* instead of *in* the business. The two main things I get from the Institute are motivation and inspiration. Some days when i feeling stuck, tired or ready to quit practicing, I scroll through Slack and see other lawyers are struggling with the same issues. But, I also see so many great ideas and cool apps and can always find something to improve my practice. I read somewhere that the only things you needed to know to build a business are basic math and an understanding of human nature. The math is easy-It costs X to generate a prospect, Y% of prospects become clients, each client is worth $Z etc. But human nature is endlessly complex and fascinating. What sets the Rosen Insitute apart is the focus on the psychology of clients, lawyers, associates and employees and how members can use this to build their practices. I get bombarded by marketing companies with fancy widgets to sell, but none of them address this deeper level of knowledge. And they cost far more than Rosen Institute.
