We’re still in Kas. This small town continues in its awesomeness. I can’t recommend it enough as a vacation destination. It’s beautiful, friendly, delicious, and incredibly inexpensive. What more could you want?

Yesterday, we rented a car and headed to Arycanda (pictured above). We drove down the coast for 90 minutes with the mountains on our left and the dramatic, steep, rocky coastline on our right. Arycanda is a 2,500-year-old city up in the mountains. The mountains are beautiful. The ruins are fascinating. The lunch afterward was fantastic.

I’m not much for ruins. Lisa drags me to them wherever we go. Turkey has more of them than I’ve ever seen before. They’re everywhere. Walking down most any street involves passing ruins. I have a tough time keeping Lisa moving forward as she repeatedly stops to look. But it is pretty cool to be in a place that has been inhabited for so long. Even I sometimes get sucked in by the stories told by the old structures.

Speaking of ruins, how’s your office looking? It’s easy to fall victim to letting your furniture, floor coverings, and walls get old and dingy. I’ve done it myself. We get so used to seeing it each day that we fail to notice as it slowly deteriorates. New clients notice, though. They see it for what it is, and they factor it into their impression of us. Be careful to get some objective feedback on the state of your decor. It might be time for some fresh paint, a carpet cleaning, or a furniture restoration.
