“What if I have more than one practice area? Do I need more than one website?” asked the attorney who previously asked about website focus.
Yes, if you have more than one practice area, you need more than one website.
That’s the only way to go if you’re building a site about the client’s problem rather than building a site about you.
If you’re satisfied with a site that doesn’t generate interest, then don’t worry about it.
But, if you want visitors who turn into clients, then the site needs to be about them—not you.
If it’s about them, then it’s got to focus on the problem they’re having right now.
When my Honda breaks down, I look for a site with solutions for Honda problems. I’m annoyed if it’s about Honda solutions along with ice cream. What do cars have to do with ice cream? About as much as child custody problems have to do with speeding tickets.
Build two sites, pack them with solutions and information, and you’ll build trust that turns into clients.
