I met with a young lawyer today and she’s been reading my firm’s website.
She asked about the approach we take on the site and noted that the site is mostly about divorce law and contains very little information about our firm.
She was struck by the contrast between our site and many other law firm sites which she perceived to be mostly about the law firms.
I explained that our site is intended to position us, in the mind of the prospective client, as experts on divorce.
We do that by providing information.
We want to show them, not tell them, that we’re experts in family law.
Hopefully, we demonstrate our expertise by providing helpful advice. Hopefully, our readers call us when they need an expert on their team.
