Have you ever tried to figure out what it’s going to cost to ship something by FedEx? How about UPS? It’s nearly impossible.

- Which one is faster?

These shipping companies are the complete opposite of transparent. How come I can understand language in the U.S. Code, but I can’t figure out how much it costs to ship a 7″ x 9″ x 14″ box that weighs 23 ounces?
Smailex is my new best friend. It’s a site designed to compare the options available via UPS and FedEx, and you can sort your options by price and speed. It’s easy and quick to use. Maybe one day the site will incorporate even more services for comparison (like the U.S. Postal Service—hint, hint).
